Year 1 Launch their Dinosaur Topic for the Autumn Term
Last Friday the children arrived at school dressed as explorers! There was a real buzz of excitement in the air as the children noticed footprints around the main gate and the Year 1 classrooms.
All the explorers set off, intrigued to discover where these footprints would lead them!
They followed the footprints to the woodland and discovered several nests of eggs hidden there! The children took these eggs back to the classroom to discover what was hiding inside!
When they returned from their exploring, all of Year 1 gathered together to share their findings. They thought they had discovered dinosaurs! After that the children loved working together in their classes to piece together a jigsaw to reveal...a dinosaur!
The dinosaur launch culminated with a roaring time singing Dinosaur songs and listening to a stomping story.
