Chandlings Prep Nursery receives letter from King Charles II
It's not everyday you receive a letter from the newly crowned King but earlier this month Chandlings Prep Nursery received a thank you letter from the Royal Household and a card from King Charles and Queen Camilla.
At the time of the Coronation the Nursery children had been taking part in lots of royal activities which included painting their own portrait of King Charles II. The portraits were all sent off to King Charles to celebrate his coronation.
The nursery children, now in Reception, were very excited to receive a letter back thanking them for their 'colourful pictures' and saying 'The King was deeply touched that you should have taken the trouble to write.'
