These observational drawings of pumpkins are taken from real life, using oil pastel techniques to blend the colours and create three-dimensional looking shapes

The clay pumpkins are inspired by the work of British ceramic artist Kate Malone, whose sculptures are inspired by natural forms. The pupils joined two pinch pots together to create a hollow form, then used modelling techniques to create realistic details.
