Chandlings Prep are delighted to announce that for the third year running, their entire Year 6 cohort has received offers from their chosen senior schools.   The schools include many highly selective senior schools across Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Berkshire. 40% of the cohort also received an award or scholarship with every single applicant to Abingdon School receiving an award.

40% of the Year 6 children were offered 20 different scholarships and exhibitions to selective senior schools including Academic, Art, Drama, English, Maths, Music and Sport.

“Finding the right secondary school for each child is so important, “ said Mrs Love, Deputy Head Academic. “The process starts in Year 4 when we begin the dialogue with children’s teachers and it continues into Year 5 and 6 when we meet as often as required to help parents make decisions about their child’s next steps.’

Ms Cook added, “I would like to say how proud I am of both our Year 6 pupils and our staff who provided workshops, interview practice and tailor made teaching. Together they produced some fantastic results.  Congratulations.”

Despite only being at the school for a little over a term, Chandlings helped us identify the best options for J and gave him the confidence to be himself and do his best.  We felt very supported and well advised throughout the process. We are delighted with the outcome.  Thank you!
