Digital Learning
Our Prep teaching spaces are equipped with mobile and fixed technology that aim to complement the teaching and learning that occurs across the curriculum. We deploy forms of technology that are relevant to remain in touch with the trends our children are exposed to in everyday life.
The curriculum in DL is both practical and progressive; balancing essential literacy skills and computing. Our curriculum content is adapted to suit our needs and also recognises and includes selected components that are being taught nationally as computer science and computer literacy.
Specialist teachers teach throughout the school. Emphasis is placed on the process of learning. Pupils are encouraged to innovate, share and explore their ideas in a secure and stimulating environment. Techniques are taught for applications which enable pupils to perform a variety of useful tasks that require creative and analytical thought.
When our pupils leave us, they are confident and discerning users of technology. We want them to be equipped with the digital skills needed in a rapidly changing world.
